Anyone can sell on JioMart but it is mandatory to have the necessary business registrations such as certificate of incorporation, partnership deed, GST & PAN registrations and a current account in a bank in their business name.


The process is simple. You sign up and create an account and furnish the required documents and then upload your product catalogue (Digicom will do it for you). Your products will show up on JioMart when buyers search and when they place an order, JioMart notifies you and you prepare the package for shipment. JioMart takes care of logistics. You receive payment in 7 days after a successful sale.

JioMart currently has dozens of categories with subcategories, permitting sellers to sell products such as groceries, home & kitchen products, fashion, electronics, beauty products, home improvement products, sports and several others.


You must have a registered business address, GST registration, a PAN card in your business name and brand authorization letter if you plan to sell branded products on JioMart. You must also have a bank account in your business name.

You can sell on JioMart even if you do not have a website. In fact a website is not at all necessary since JioMart is the enabler and is a better option since buyers will find your products easily here on JioMart and will prefer to buy here rather than go searching for websites, which, in the first place, may not even show up in searches.


You, as the seller, are in full charge of deciding the final price of the products you sell on JioMart.

Once the product is packaged, picked up and dispatched to the buyer and the buyer receives it, the order is considered as executed and you are eligible to claim payment. JioMart releases payment direct to your bank account after seven days, minus their charges.


You can start with one. However, it is a better idea to have 10 or more products to sell on JioMart but there is no statutory requirement.

You can cancel your seller account at JioMart at any time by sending an official letter stating your intent. However, the account will be closed only after all pending orders are executed and all dues settled as well as other issues like refunds/replacements are taken care of by the seller.


JioMart has tied up with third party logistics service provider to pickup products from your premises and dispatch to the buyer's address. You do not have to worry about dispatch and delivery of your products.

Yes, JioMart will provide packaging materials. You can order them through the JioMart seller portal.


Yes, JioMart requires sellers to be registered with the sales tax authorities and possess the GST registration certificate even if their turnover is within the prescribed limit. Only certain items, such as books, are exempted from GST and if you sell such items you will not need to have a GST number.
